Day 01
Route : Airport > Negombo
Drive : 25 minute

Arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport in Katunayeka, you will be welcomed by the tour driver / guide who will be accompanying you during your round trip and be transferred to your hotel in Negombo.
Day 02
Route : Negombo > Anuradhapura
Drive : 4 and half hour drive
Night spending city : Anuradhapura
HIGHLIGHT
After breakfast leave for Anuradhapura and on arrival visit Anuradhapura ancient city. Anuradhapura was the third capital of the former ancient kingdom of Rajarata in the ancient Sri Lanka. It was founded in the fourth century BC by King Pandukabhaya and lasted till the beginning of the 11th century AD. You will be taken to visit Anuradhapura ancient city in the late afternoon, there you will be able to see the Holy Bo Tree, Sri Ma Bodhi, the sacred fig tree that is said to be a cutting of the original Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya India, under which the Lord Buddha attained his enlightenment. Planted in 288 B.C. it is the oldest historical tree in the world. You’ll also be able to see the Copper Palace and the enormous white dagoba, Ruwanweli Seya, a 55 meters high ancient marvel built in 2nd century B.C. by King Dutugemunu who is said to be the first king to unify the country under one flag
Day 03
Route : Anuradhapura > Sigiriya
Drive : 5 hour drive
Night spending city : Sigiriya

After breakfast leave for Sigirya, en-route visit the famous Lion’s Rock Fortress in Sigiriya. This rock fortress was a royal citadel for more than 18 years. In a sheltered cobra hooded cave approached by a spiral stairway are the famous frescos of Sigiriya. The summit of the rock with an area nearly of one hectare is the site of the old palace – the outer wall which was built on the very brink of the precipice. The UNESCO sponsored Central Cultural Fund has restored Sigiriyas’ 5th century water gardens to its former glory and it is a sight to behold. Check in to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 04
Route : Sigiriya > Dambulla > Matale > Kandy
Drive : 3 hour drive
Night spending city : Kandy
HIGHLIGHT
After breakfast leave for Kandy, en-route visit the Golden Cave Temple of Dambulla and a herbal / spice garden in Matale where you can see how the many spices and plants are cultivated as well as purchase some of the famous spices and herbs of ancient Ceylon. The Golden Cave temple is a vast isolated rock mass which houses a rock temple (formerly caves). Most of the walls of this cave temple are covered with frescoes; some which are over 2000 years old and still holds the remnants of their archaic auras. On completion leave for Kandy. After checking in to your hotel should you like, you can go to watch a cultural show performed by traditional Kandyan dancers and drummers in the late evening.
Day 05
Route : Kandy > Nuwara Eliya
Drive : 4 and half hour drive
Night spending city : Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast do a city tour in the Kandy city. Kandy is an exciting place for shopping with souvenirs made of wood, copper, silver, brass, ebony, bronze then also there are Ceramics, lacquer work, handlooms, batiks, jewelry and rush and reed-ware can also be purchased.
You’ll be able to visit Sri Dalada Maligawa also known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic The main attraction -of Kandy. It is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy and is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. A place revered by countless number of people around the world. On completion proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
Day 06
Route : Nuweara Eliya > Ella train ride
Drive : 2 and half hour train-ride
Night spending city : Ella
HIGHLIGHT
After breakfast you can do a city tour in Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is where the British succeeded in creating an English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Well-kept lawns with hedges, golf courses and beautiful parks have given the place an air of nostalgia. Situated 1,890 meters above sea level, the air is cool and fresh a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the commercial areas.
In the afternoon a nice experience awaits you, where you will be taking the train from Nanu Oya railway station in Nuwara Eliya to Ella. This will take you through some of the most scenically beautiful areas of Sri Lanka. On completion of your train ride your driver / guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Ella.

At leisure in Ella. Ella is one of the areas famous in Sri Lanka amongst the many tourists who visit for its beauty, waterfalls and moderate temperature. Based at an elevation of 1,041 meters above sea level, it has a constant influx of tourists and is known as one of the must visit places in the country by many travellers.
(Optional : You can do optional excursions like Trecking , Rock climbing and Zip linning while you are staying in Ella. You can arrange these activities through your driver guide.)
Day 08
Route : Ella > Tissamahrama
Drive : 2 and half hour drive
Night spending city : Yala
HIGHLIGHT
After breakfast leave for Tissamaharama. En-route your driver guide will take you to do a jeep safari at Yala national park. Yala is located in the southeastern corner of the island. Its northern boundaries border the Lahugala elephant sanctuary and it has the added bonus of scenic ocean frontage. The terrain is a varied course of flat plains altering with rocky outcrops. The vegetation ranges from open parklands to dense jungles. Water holes, small lakes, lagoons and streams provide water for the innumerable inhabitants. There are 215 species of birds, 44 species of mammals, 47 species of reptiles, 18 species of amphibians and 21 species of fresh water fish living in Yala national park
Day 09
Route : Tissamahrama > Galle > Ahungalla
Drive : 2 and half hour drive
Night spending city : Ahungalla
HIGHLIGHT
After breakfast leave for Ahungalle. En-route visit Galle city. Galle was an ancient port (said to be the legendary Tarshish of the Bible) and the first international commerce and trade center of ancient Ceylon, while in Galle you can visit the Museum and the Old Portuguese made Dutch fortified fort which is a world heritage site and is the last remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. On completion proceed to Ahungalle and check in to your hotel in the evening
